Launching a Site in a Week
by Ingrid Valdez

Every few months a client asks whether we can launch a site in a week. The honest answer is yes, but only for a certain kind of site, and only if the client is willing to make decisions quickly.
Start with what you can cut
A one-week site is not a full site squeezed into less time. It is a smaller site, finished properly. We usually recommend three to five pages: a home page, a short about page, one page for what you offer, and a contact page. Everything else can come in a second pass.
The rules we use
- Content is written and approved before design begins
- One round of feedback per stage, collected in a single document
- No custom features, only well-tested building blocks
- One person on the client side has the final say

What the week looks like
Monday is for the workshop and copy. Tuesday and Wednesday are design. Thursday is build, and Friday is testing, content loading and launch. Weekends stay empty, which is its own kind of feature.
Speed comes from fewer decisions, not from faster typing.
If that sounds like the right size for your project, tell us your dates and we will tell you honestly whether the week is realistic.
